LS720 lights up the new Ritz-Carlton apartments in Perth

Commswest Distribution has proudly supplied a new to market low intensity aviation obstruction light to tower 1 at the Ritz-Carlton apartments in Perth.

Also known as the The Towers at Elizabeth Quay, they sit as the jewel in this new and unique waterfront precinct. A marque of world-class lifestyle, The Towers will offer the perfect blend of life and leisure, incorporating hotel, residential and retail opportunities.

Due for completion mid 2019, both towers required a low intensity aviation obstruction light.

The LS720 is a low intensity (Aviation) obstruction light built for Australia as per CASA manual of standards Part 139.

The light is wired to the controller (via the inbuilt surge protection) also supplied by Commswest, which is located in the below services room. The controller learns the light configuration setup and alarms itself in case of a change (that is if the light fails or draws too much current etc). A Nanhua photocel has been mounted near the AWL and also wired to the controller – this photocel activates at low light informing the controller to switch on the LS720 when the light fades.

The controller is monitored by the building management system via the alarm relay in the FR104 controller and the light is set to steady burn.

The second light is due to be installed in the coming months.
