Off-Air Channelised BDA – 4 Carriers

Off air (RF fed) Channelised Bi-Directional Amplifier(+36dBm). 4 carriers. 230VAC or -48VDC PSU option. TETRA capable.

Description

Off air (RF fed) Channelised Bi-Directional Amplifier(+36dBm). 4 carriers. 230VAC or -48VDC PSU option. TETRA capable.

Key features:

  • Large repeater coverage footprint due to high output power and gain
  • Very low propagation delay leading to higher security, resilience and availability of information
  • Easy system implementation with built-in commissioning tools
  • Time-slot based ALC
  • Supervision available over wireless modems
  • Digital channel and band selective off air UHF, Tetra or Tetrapol repeater
  • Provides full UHF, TETRA and TETRAPOL coverage as part of an Cobham DAS system in buildings, tunnels and metro’s
  • Supports WDM (wave division multiplexing) technology reducing the requirement for fiber optic cable
  • High performance and resilient architecture. Redundancy options available
  • 36dBm output power
  • Can be used to feed a DAS (Distributed Antenna System) to extend coverage further
  • Multi channel support and flexible DSP based filtering capability
  • Unique “time slot ALC” mechanism to reduce noise
  • Extremely low delay improving selectivity and performance
  • Innovative automatic optical gain capability
  • Extremely low noise figure & group delay
  • Compact IP65 weather proofed enclosure passively cooled
  • Integrated Spectrum Analyzer for both uplink and downlink path
  • Management via web GUI or Cobham AEM (Cobham Element Manager)
  • ACMA have tested the D-CSR 3604 and issued a letter of acceptance

The D-CSR 3604 provides quick, cost-effective and secure radio coverage in any mission critical network and can handle up to eight filters within the 5 MHz band. Through the use of the D-CSR 3604 an operator can easily expand a base station’s service area by filling in coverage holes caused by terrain, buildings or tunnels.

The wireless interface permits the operator to remotely configure RF parameters as well as monitor alarms on a continuous basis.

The D-CSR 3604 can also be used to provide coverage in shorter tunnels. Longer tunnels can be covered by connecting the repeater to an OMU (Optical Master Unit) that feeds a number of fibre fed repeaters.

CCobham Wireless was formerly known as Axell Wireless
